Children of Fargo murder suspect reported missing
MOWER COUNTY, MINN.—Authorities are asking the public for help after children of a murder suspect were reportedly taken from a home in southeast Minnesota.
In a missing person alert sent out by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Mower County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding Mateo Cooley, 10, Mollycia Cooley, 11, and Marco Cooley, 16, who were seen leaving Rose Creek, Minn., on Saturday night, Sept. 29. Officials also said Mojo Cooley, 13, and Marco Cooley, 17, weren't seen, but it's possible they are with the other three.
Officials said 15-year-old Maryssa Cooley, who was originally reported missing, was later found safe.
Rose Creek is southeast of Austin, Minn., near the Iowa border.
The father of the children is 44-year-old Miguel Cooley Sr., who was arrested on Monday for the Sept. 23 murder of Gabriel Perez at a Fargo McDonalds.
The report says that the children's mother, 39-year-old Izetta Cooley of Moorhead, Minn., took the three children from the residence where they were staying.
Izetta Cooley is under a court order to not have contact with the children. She is described as 5-feet, 4-inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
Authorities think they are traveling in a black 2007 Suzuki XL7 with a Minnesota license plate, reading 103WJC.
Police are concerned for the children's welfare.
