Chance of royalty: Panthers get their spirit on for homecoming

Homecoming week is Oct. 1-5 at Park Rapids Area High School.

Leading up to the big game on Friday is a full week of activities to build school spirit.

Monday, Oct. 1 is America Day, encouraging everyone at the school to dress in red, white and blue.

Coronation will be at 9 a.m. on Monday, followed by a royal tea.

Powder puff volleyball is planned for the boys at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.

Spirit week continues with Tye-dye/Hippie Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday/Hat Day and Beach Thursday.

Friday is Orange and Black Day, inviting everyone to wear the school colors. A decorated car contest will be judged at 7:50 a.m., and the winner will get to be in the parade.

Powder puff football for the girls is scheduled for 12:40 p.m. on Friday, followed by pep fest at about 1:10 p.m., parade around 2:15, the football game against Pequot Lakes at 6 p.m. and the homecoming dance from 8 to 11 p.m.
